Making Sense from MY Perspective 
This happened to me once and I felt deep pain. Then after a while I thought ‘would I really want to be on the receiving end of the wine and roses?’ My truthful answer was ‘No’. So the pain was a feeling of having been rejected, rather than wishing he was still with me. Once I accepted that truth, I was able to start to turn around my low feelings.
